At Martin Roofing & Solar, we are proud to be a family-owned company based in Mascoutah, Illinois, serving customers throughout Illinois and Missouri. Martin Roofing was originally founded in 1980 with a commitment to quality workmanship, reliable service, and honest business practices. In 2022, Martin Solar was introduced to expand those same values into the growing solar energy industry.

Backed by decades of roofing and construction experience, our solar division was built on a strong foundation of customer service, education, and long-term support. Over the years, our team has developed the knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to design, install, and service a wide variety of solar energy systems for both residential and commercial customers.

At Martin Solar, we believe customers deserve truthful information and realistic expectations when considering solar energy. In an industry often driven by high-pressure sales tactics, our goal is to provide a different experience; one focused on education, transparency, and helping customers make informed decisions that best fit their property and energy goals. If solar is not the right fit for a customer, we will be honest about that as well.

Since launching our solar division, we have successfully completed over 100 projects utilizing a variety of mounting methods and system designs, including roof-mounted systems, ground mounts, dual-axis trackers, battery storage systems, off-grid applications, and solar removal and reinstallation services. Our team remains committed to continuing education and staying current with evolving technologies, products, and industry standards.

At Martin Roofing & Solar, we do not just install solar systems — we operate with solar energy ourselves every day. With both our roofing and solar divisions operating out of the same facility, our business consumes a significant amount of electricity on a daily basis through office operations, equipment, tools, lighting, heating, and cooling.
Like many homeowners and business owners, rising utility costs led us to ask an important question:
“How can we take more control of our energy costs long term?”

Our answer was solar.

Martin Solar designed and installed a 70kW solar system at our own facility to help offset the building’s energy usage and reduce dependence on traditional utility power. Since installation, we have experienced firsthand the long-term value solar can provide through reduced monthly utility costs and greater energy awareness.
